Filing notes

A U.S. filing or press release is long, and the friendliest sentence is usually first. We read the document and set the same numbers next to the size of the company. These notes are that record.

Each note has the exchange and ticker, the document title and time, the source link, the numbers in the document, and why a promotional sentence is not the same as a change in the structure. When the document states a share count or a cash figure, the note sets it next to the size of the company. When it does not, the note says so. The method is written once, in the guides.

These notes are not a solicitation and they do not forecast the price. They record what the document says and how large that number is for the company.

SEC filings

A reading of the EDGAR document (8-K, 424B5, 10-Q, and others), with the numbers in the document set next to the size of the company.

Press releases

A reading of a wire release next to the same company's filing, to see how the share count, the financing, or the contract changed. Wording that exists only in the release is kept apart from terms that exist only in the filing.
